High Banks Field Site

Springfield, Oregon.

Our study area is located on High Banks Road in Springfield Oregon. Weyerhaeuser originally owned this 140-acre agricultural cattle land until it was abandoned. EWEB purchased and designated the land to a partnered project with the University Of Oregon SPA lab. This project studies carbon sequestration in soils to allocate solutions for climate change. The data collected from the study will be used for future projects and restoration efforts by EWEB and SPA lab.

Planting Phases

The High Banks field site was separated into different planting phases. Hardwoods only, Conifers only, mixed hardwood and conifer. The site also separated areas for control. Below is a map created by Hilary Rose Dawson from the SPA lab.
